چکیده

Abstract A number of factors determine the mechanical, but also physical and chemical properties. One most important are steel microstructure its working conditions. few corrosion processes in crevices awkward corners can be avoided at design stage (low roughness parameters, round-section other). But still construction material is exposed to corrosion. These steels often come into contact with an aggressive environment based on nitric acid. Stainless more used many sectors industry. The purpose this article investigate resistance different time (48, 96, 144, 192, 240, 288, 336, 384 432 hours) using weight loss profile parameters martensitic grade X55CrMo14 acid 65% pure-basic temperature 348 K. Corrosion tests show that tested as a corrosive environments characterized through continuous process whose measure may surface roughness.

Corrosion at Sulphide Inclusions in Stainless Steel

Auger analysis was performed using a high resolution scanning auger electron microscope and auger electron spectroscopy. Elemental auger contour maps for corroded sulphide inclusions in stainless steel were presented. It was found that the copper enriched-manganese sulphide inclusions were uniformly corroded, which might be due to CU2S deposition on the surface of corroding inclusions. In contr...

Corrosion resistance of austenitic stainless steel in sulphuric acid

The resistance and susceptibility of austenitic stainless steel, Type 304, exposed to strong tetraoxosulphate (VI) acids (2 and 5 M concentrations) contaminated with sodium chloride at ambient temperatures was investigated by gravimetric and metallographic/scanning electron microscopy surface characterization methods. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) was used to examine and characterize the t...

Corrosion Behavior of Stainless Steel Clad Rebar

Stainless steel clad rebar (SCR) was investigated because it may become a cost-effective means of controlling corrosion in concrete under very aggressive environments. Sound SCR (316L cladding) resisted corrosion in saturated Ca(OH)2 solution (SCS) with up to 5 wt% chloride. Cladding breaks on SCR induced significant corrosion of exposed underlying CS in SCS with only 1 wt% chloride. A computer...

Electrochemical and Theoretical Studies of Adsorption of 1-H-benzotriazole at Stainless Steel in Hydrochloric acid Solution Interface as Corrosion Inhibitors

The influence of the concentration of1-H-benzoteriazolon the corrosion of 316 stainless steel (SS) in chloride acid 1M solutions was studied. The potentiodynamics polarization and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) have been used. The inhibition efficiency increased with an increase in the concentration of1-H-benzoteriazol.The adsorption of1-H-benzoteriazol onto the SS surface occurs accord...
